What will you do as Mechanical Engineer?
Vivolta is a growing MedTech CDMO that’s making waves in the medical world with innovative implants. Our team of engineers is at the heart of what we do: in this job you will play a key part in creating concept designs and prototypes to enable ideas for Vivolta’s electrospinning projects. These projects are fast-paced and require quick thinking and practical, feasible solutions. In close collaboration you work with the implant development team in the laboratory and manufacturing to create innovative engineering solutions so that products can be made based on client requirements.

Key Tasks
– Create impactful engineered solutions for our development teams to enable them having better spinning setups, tools and processing applications.
– Develop, build and iterate on high-precision methodology equipment and prototypes in a fast-paced R&D environment.
– Ensure accurate documentation and reporting as part of the development process.
– Provide technical support to colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.
– Collaborate with experts in mechatronics, software, materials science, physics in order to make solutions for technical challenges.
– The job is divided into: 50% prototyping, 30% design and iteration and 20% documentation & meetings.

The machines are not aimed at great forces or fast movements, but at precision, suppleness, and ingenuity. You will be dealing with micrometers, physical processes and climate control units that you have not seen before! If this triggers your interest then we hope you bring these aspects too:
– A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar
– Around 5+ years of experience as mechanical engineer in a high-tech environment
– Proficiency in Inventor (or similar CAD tooling)
– Hands-on experience in assembling prototypes and sub-assemblies
– Experience in creating production drawings and BOM lists
– Strong skills in concept development, design for assembly (DFA), and value engineering
– Experience within the medical industry and/or cleanroom environments are considered an advantage
– An excellent command of the English language in speech and writing (Dutch is an advantage
– Comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
